Biography:

Heather Leson is a Communications Lead for an Internet company (Tucows Inc.). With 10 years Internet experience and a strong library background, Heather has the unique ability to bridge communications and technology. She works within technical teams to communicate and coordinate status updates and technical incident details using online and often open source/social media tools (e.g. blogs, wiki, irc, twitter). In her spare time, she is a co-organizer of the Toronto Girl Geek Dinner; a volunteer coordinator for Podcamp Toronto; and the CrisisCamp City Coordinator and CrisisCommons Liasion for Toronto.
