Description:
This talk started with a THX intro (we were in a movie theater, after all), and was followed by a humorous look at the Internet's past.
After the laughs, we covered some of the new features of Internet Explorer 8, and introduced two new tools for web developers: SuperPreview and Web Platform Installer.

The IE8 stuff was great, some cool features. Though, at the end of the day it's just another browser, and made for more than developer consumption. The developer side of IE8 looks a lot like Firebug, but developing for web slices is going to be fun.
The Super Preview looks like something I should download soon. With people STILL stuck on IE6, it'll come in handy to compare it all side by side without having to run a VM just to test against some obscure browser that the CIO's mom uses on her Pentium II.
Part 3, the download thing, I could have done without. Honestly, it's Microsoft's download wizard...yippee! I've used it once, it downloaded software, I was done. I've done the same thing with the right button on my mouse.

Great presentation and event in general!
