I think that the technical difficulties overshadowed a good presenter.

The technical problems with the machine killed this presentation unfortunately. Once it became clear that the visual examples were not going to work, it probably would have been better to just talk about the code/API's that were going to be demonstrated and stop trying to show them actually running.
