Sass for Noobs 4.63 http://spkr8.com/t/12271

Description:

Speaking with the UW Web Council. Introduction to Sass.

Have you looked at Sass and thought, 'man, too much to byte off?' Well, lets get past those barriers, get Sass installed on your laptop and start writing some code.

CSS processors are taking the industry by storm. Lets face it, CSS is dated and limited. It is time to breathe new life into an old language. Variables, mixins, functions, all things most never imagined doing with CSS, we can do with Sass.

I had tried compass many times but really didn't understand how it fit together until I heard this talk by Dale.

It was a pleasure listening to this presentation by Dale. His knowledge and familiarity with SASS was obvious, and his speaking style and presentation were very comfortable and conversational. In my opinion that is a great balance for a speaker to have and because of that I was able to listen and absorb the information very easily.

He also had some very entertaining visual metaphors in his slides that helped to keep the atmosphere fun and entertaining.

Overall a very enjoyable presentation. I was very satisfied with the introduction to SASS and I had fun too.
