Description:
Are you new to ASP.NET MVC? This session is for you. We will go over the core concepts of the framework so you will have a good foundation, whether you want to start making websites with ASP.NET MVC, want to better understand the other sessions of aspconf that use the framework, or both. I will make sure there is plenty of Q&A time, so you can bring your questions as well.

It would have been nice to have more time for Q&A.

Very good introduction! About the only other thing I would have liked to have seen was some tie-in with wiring models up to a DAL, but you definitely covered a LOT of ground given just an hour's time!

Quickly got up to speed, technical issues were overcome quickly for a first session of the Conf.
Great warm-up presentation on MVC. Very active speaker and content didn't get boring. Thanks

I have been to several 'Intro' to ASP.NET MVC sessions, and this was one of the better ones. However I will say it made a huge difference knowing about MVC a bit already as the session moved quickly (as it needed to).

Great overview on MVC, the code examples were really clear and specific to what was being covered.

Great over view of MVC and some of the spiffy upgrades from MVC 2. Eric always has easy to grasp explanations for questions and is fearless about trying something new on the fly.
Chris Arndt,

I really liked the balance between a fast high level view and real useful guidance on individual features.

Great overview. I work in WebForms and haven't had time to give MVC more than a passing glance. You quickly covered some things I wasn't quite getting when I looked at it initially.

Thank you!

Thanks Eric and great job! This a massive topic to cover in just an hour, but you did it as well as someone could I think. You explained it clearly and at a low level, great for beginners like me. It was also nice that you left a ton of time for good Q & A at the end. If I can find a link to the video, I'd like to watch it again after I play around with MVC a little bit.

I really liked the bottom up approach of your talk.

NIce Talk Eric, perhaps a little more detail on the possibilities of the Data Validation Annotations (perhaps restricting the age in your example)
Ben Ward,

Excellent intro! I look forward to watching it again later.

I would have liked to learn something about using MVC with a database as well.

Good stuff, good intro that went over just enough to get someone interested in using MVC and started on the right track.
