Good talk. I came away knowing some specifics of what Prism can do, but I left a little disappointed because I never fully understood what it is as a whole, when it would be good to use and when not, what are the overall benefits of using this, what is an example where using Prism made a big difference, etc. Needed more big picture.

The explanation of the fundamental design ideas behind Prism and building modular applications in general were good. The reference documentation on Prism is also very useful in learning more about these concepts. Using the MVVM design pattern and building modular applications seems a worthwhile pursuit, while the particular toolkit selection is less relevant - none are silver bullets.
