(Guest lecture for Aaron Bloomfield's SLP class.) Software engineering is an important discipline, but most computer science curricula don't get deep into the weeds of how to be a good software engineer.

In this 40-minute talk, we'll try to fill in the gaps with some advice about what makes for an effective software engineer, and how you can collaborate effectively with team members in a realistic work setting.
