How Ryerson, Western, thetyee.ca and rabble.ca came together to create the MakerCulture Project. MakerCulture is an 11-part series produced by 45 students at the University of Western Ontario and Ryerson University. It used a wiki, twitter, social bookmarking, posterous, facebook, livestream and Skype for its creation and promotion. In the process, it turned the traditional journalism process on its head. Great talk about a fascinating topic (especially the 3D printer!). Wayne is is an engaging speaker who's great at making things plain. Plus, his talks deal with real projects that he has actually done.
