When there's only audio, everyone is blind - so make the most of it! In almost a decade of producing audio description (narration added to films, tv shows, etc. mainly for people who are visually-impaired), I've thought a lot about translating visual media to audio. I'll give a brief history of audio description, go step-by-step through the describing process in my podcast Movies for the Blind (http://moviesfortheblind.com/), and relate the principles of description to other forms of new media, including soundseeing podcasts.
