Manufacturing Innovation: A Community Case Study

About the Talk

February 20th, 2010 12:00 PM

Hi! I’m Jason Santo and I’m the Community Facilitator for the Manufacturing Innovation Network (MIN, The MIN is a social network to encourage manufacturers in the Waterloo-Kitchener region to collaborate and share innovations, and my job is to help the MIN be a thriving community with a growing and engaged membership base.

In this session, I’ll talk about my experiences as a Community Facilitator for the MIN and about some of the things I’ve seen work particularly well for the MIN. I will also discuss how the MIN was developed, where I see it heading and will give advice to others interested in creating or their own community or working as community facilitators for other organizations. After a short presentation, we can discuss helping online communities like this grow and thrive, and I’m hoping to learn as much from you as you will from me.
