Introduction to Go 4.98 http://spkr8.com/t/2116

Description:

Go is a brand-spanking-new systems language that Google released in November, 2009. Every wonder how awesome C would be if it was garbage-collected, concurrent, and didn't take a few weeks to compile? Wake up; it's here! We'll take a look at this new language that steals some of the dynamic flexibility of Python and Ruby, the performance of C, and a compile time that you'll miss if you blink.

I attended the talk at TCCC8 this morning and found it very informative. Kevin presented a great deal of information in an organized manner. He also handled some difficult questions from the audience which showed both patience and knowledge of the subject.

Extremely informative. He was very excited about Go and that got me excited about it. I loved his examples and information. Kevin is a much needed speaker at events!
