Marc will demonstrate useful jQuery plugins in the jQuery community as well as discuss plugin architecture and overall usefulness of each of the jQuery plugins. We'll take a look at each plugin's configuration, options and extendability. We'll also look at the community around each plugin and discuss ways that each author has added to the overall jQuery community. This talk is geared towards users of jQuery plugins who are looking to pick the best plugins and plugin authors who would like a holistic review of existing jQuery plugins and what things to consider when making your own plugins. Marketing tactics and approaches to spreading the word about your plugin will also be discussed.

The talk would have benefited from a shorter list of plug-ins and more explanation on why Marc thinks a particular plug-in is the best in its class. Too much time spent on "approaches to spreading the word" (this was discussed for each individual plug-in even though in some cases I didn't even know what the plug-in did - Flip). A brief summary of marketing techniques at the end would have been more useful. Nevertheless, a good list of plug-ins. Look forward to checking them out.
