In this session we will cover:

  • Chef Concepts
  • Installation
  • Creating a Chef Repository
  • Your First Cookbook (and its components)
  • Chef Nodes, Clients and Roles
  • Chef Indexes
  • Executables - Chef Server, Chef Indexer, Chef Client and Chef Solo
  • Anatomy of a Chef Run

A deep dive on a topic that somehow held its head above water. While it was a great intro/hook for system administrators, it was hurt by the target audience being less than 10% system administrator.
