Description:
LinQ (Language Integrated Query) provides a subset of features to query directly within the different .Net based languages. LinQ’s powerful and simple database-like querying language allows you to query collections of objects, databases, and XML documents from within C# or VB.net or the .Net language of your choice. LinQ was introduced in the .Net 3.5 framework, and brings several new features to the language, including the basic querying, lambda expressions, and anonymous types.
This presentation will offer a hands-on approach (thanks to the team at CVTC) to using LinQ within your .Net Applications. Each participant will have the opportunity to learn and practice writing LinQ query expressions (C#) using somewhat real-world scenarios. If you prefer to work on your own laptop, please be prepared to have Visual Studio 2008 or 2010 (Express edition will work as well).
