Took too long to get to the meat of the presentation and ran out of time at the interesting part. Very generic presentation if you know async messaging and pub/sub. What I was really interested in was to find out what is new in CQRS, NoSQL and CAP, but there this part was skipped other than a brief description up front, plus time ran out. I would suggest condensing the first 30 minutes down to 7 or 8 minutes to set the stage, then spend more time on the good stuff. We get 'why' distributed systems are needed. Also, bogged down during the async messaging section beacuse of questions from audience, meaning it was valuable to a lot of people, but meant no depth to the part on CQRS and CAP. On the + side, very good and entertaining speaker, easy to keep engaged.

60 minutes of mumbling of very obvious concepts like why you should scale and 15 minutes of very generic talk about the solution (async messaging) without any solid sample. I appreciate this event and his efforts but it was mostly a waste of time for this audience.
