Description:
Measuring the reach of your social media efforts is a good first step--but it's not enough. Sean will show how MIT Sloan Management Review uses analytics to turn data into insight, and insight into action. Chris will describe the social tools that aggregate, syndicate, and amplify Harvard's message to the world, including integration with Facebook's open graph and real-time Twitter collaboration via Social Flow.

Great description of effective social media tools. Sean, it would be good to see visuals for some of the technologies you describe (ex: Social Oomph), and where they fall into place in regards to the data --> insight --> action process you described. I really enjoyed hearing how both of you have reacted to social media analytic data.

Apologies in advance, I am going to be brutally honest here in the hopes it will help.
Sean - you need slides! I get what you're trying to do, but it doesn't work for this topic and format. Also, it may help keep you on point when you get nervous. At one point you tried to show us something on your phone, we can't see your phone! And the audience at SXSW certainly won't (I imagine it will be a bigger crowd).
Chris - great talk, just wish there had been more time to see it all.

Sean - I second Donna's comments. Also, a little more emphasis on how you draw conclusions from and act upon your data would be great--you did get into that at one point but only when someone asked.
Chris - Good stuff! I could have used less emphasis on RSS and more on the 3rd parts apps used.
All in all a great subject, and you definitely have valuable insights to share.

Sean - You hit quite a few applications, maybe narrow down a few. Since you don't have visuals to guide the discussion, use more verbal guide posts to help everyone keep up. Be prepared to restate or spell some of the apps. you mention.
Chris - Loved the visuals you used. The flow and time spent on each topic was measured well. Definitely make sure to spend more time on Social Flow as this seemed new and intriguing. How do you queue up stories? Manually or through RSS? Are the analytics similar to other programs or is there another big difference there?
Thanks for sharing and good luck to both of you!

Really informative - great stuff.
