The relationship between designers and clients is complicated, even when there are Account Executives and Project Managers involved. When things go wrong, we blame the client for stomping all over our creative vision and killing our passion to do what we love. But is it really all their fault? We'll commiserate a little about the telltale red flags of the designer-client relationship gone wrong. Then, we’ll get proactive and discuss ways we, as designers, can stop blaming the client and start getting the most out of our client relationships.

Val has a wonderfully energetic style of presenting -- a nice counter to the post-lunch slump! -- and her examples really reinforced her points.
