Description:
While most Ruby developers are very familiar with testing their code, front end and JavaScript testing is still a new frontier for many. This talk will show you how to easily write and run JavaScript integration tests with Capybara and Cucumber, and unit tests with Evergreen and Jasmine. The goal is to inspire you to get started with frontend testing, and point you in the right direction to go do it!

I think the first part of the talk was a bit unnecessary since probably most of the attendees were already familiar with capybara, webrat, acceptance testing and its benefits. In my opinion this part could have been left out or cut to a much shorter span (5-10 min).
I found the sencod part about Jasmine and Evergreen really interesting but too short in comparison with the rest. The bits and pieces about Jasmine and Evergreen (I tool haven't used yet) would have been really something to take away. I would have liked a deeper dive in that section too, as Steve suggests.

I think that while a lot if us may be familiar with testing and cucumber/rspec/capybara in particular, the start of the talk made sure that everyone was on the same level before continuing.
Great talk. Really enjoyed it. :)

For me the talk didn't push the boundaries. I felt the speakers didn't know their subject in depth enough and should have done a lot more research around testing it's culture and practices.

I thought the first half of the talk was good as an introduction to the benefits of TDD generally, not necessarily javascript specifically. So it was perhaps a bit long for an audience who were comfortable with testing.
I thought the pace picked up nicely when you hit the live demos so more of that, and a deeper dive into the tools would have been great!
