Description:
As web industry professionals, we rarely experience a shortage of projects that necessitate our creativity. Everyone has had moments of being on fire with creativity, but often the time of being in the state of creative flow is all too short. Conversely, sometimes we get stuck: we lack inspiration, our creative confidence wanes, and the generation of ideas comes to a standstill. Much like elite athletes, creatives need to exercise discipline to be able to get into the "zone" at at will and produce great results consistently.
In this session, we will explore ideas and practices for regularly gathering sources of inspiration, eliminating blocks to more easily access creative states, prolong them, and leverage their power to develop and execute great work.

Denise brings a lot of experience to the table and she knows how to present herself, and her content, very well. For a "first draft", her presentation was great and her pointers were extremely useful. As Jason Robb and I talked about afterwards, the only thing missing was more story during the first half of the talk. We both felt that the second half had a better flow, and that the first half seemed a bit longer than it should've been.
Denise never stalls or sounds like she isn't sure what to say next, and she keeps the audience's attention so well that she could be talking about grass growing and people would still be listening. I felt like the entire presentation was useful, had original material, and gave folks a good number of takeaways.
