HTML and CSS the last thing that you have to deal with in developing your apps? Do you have a hard time communicating with your designers? Looking to get agile with your UI? Suffer from inconsistent UI and spaghetti code code all over the place? When in doubt, do you default to just add more CSS?

Dale Sande, UI Engineer for Getty Images, has been invited to speak about concepts like Modular Web Design, elemental design patterns, OOCSS and UI pattern libraries. Couple this with power tools such as .LESS and it just gets that much better. These techniques will not just help bridge communication between designers and developers, but also help to create reusable design and code patterns that reduce errors and speed up development.

I really enjoyed the presentation. The last few years, I've been trying to avoid front-end work because it felt so disorganized and I preferred the mindset of back end programming. Dale's presentation got me excited about doing work in the front end again, keeping the same back end mindset I like so much. I could definitely see myself using the Axle github project and contributing back to it.

Dale gave an excellent presentation. Made me re-think the way I approach CSS in my applications. Thanks Dale!
