Description:
Ever have one of those days where you sit back at the end of the day and realize that you didn't get anything tangible done? Why do those days happen? Many times is it because we lack focus during the day to complete even the simplest of tasks. Our modern lives don't allow us to practice focus; in fact they conspire against us being focused. This talk will explain why focus is important to productivity and teach one way you can practice focus through meditation.

Perfect way to start the conference. I liked the audience participation. I think we could all be a little more focused on whatever activity we're doing. And I liked the slide of the brain, how the box said "Made in China".

Enjoyed it, having seen it once before at BRG. Nice way to start a tech conference as a reminder to think twice before losing focus by opening our laptops, checking our phones, etc....

I liked the talk. Maybe next time spend 30 seconds and give a definition of meditation, since it's a word that means different things to different people. As an example, my grandmother thought meditation was the asian version of prayer, and thus practicing it was not good for her catholic soul.
