This would make a really good keynote. Inspirational. As a geek, I'm always into technical depth, but as you state, most project problems aren't technical and it's obvious that you've been there in the trenches, fighting your way out of the abyss.

I don't think the presentation matched the description, but it was good. With the suit, you came across as a salesman/motivational speaker, coming in and trying to convince everyone to write tests... You did look sharp in the suit though, definitely the best dressed!

Jeff, your talk was excellent particularly because you find a good balance between the abstract high level concepts/philosophy with the details of process and tooling. This made it tangible and within reach for everyone - as well as putting the notion of a "rescue project" into context. Perfect timing for me to hear it, and humbly I came to very similar conclusions myself...wanted to catch up with you but that didn't transpire! Thanks mate...

Jeff, I thought this was easily one of your best talks, and I did my best to help boost your rating on this talk. It rang home with me and my typical freelancing client work, and I think there's a ton to learn from this talk and discussions surrounding it.

If I were to guess at reasons why the average rating was not as high as my rating, I'd guess 3 things. 1) The title and description didn't exactly match the content of the talk -- though I liked the content and delivery of the talk more than the advertised title and description. 2) Not so many people can relate to the scenario of taking on a rescue project, nor have they done it enough times to see the patterns. 3) The suit. Ditch it.

This was one of the best talks you've done. I don't think I've ever spent days really sitting down to synthesize something.
