Why the realtime web matters 4.06 http://spkr8.com/t/8340

Description:

The realtime web isn't just another buzz term. It represents a group of technologies that have enabled engaging interactive applications to be developed. In this talk I'll discuss the realtime web and what it means to businesses and developers. I'll also cover what technologies and methods can be used to build realtime applications and the methods available for realtime server to client interaction. Finally I'll demonstrate how realtime web technologies can be used to build a fun, engaging and interactive application (ok, it's a game).

Really interested on getting feedback on this as it's the first time I've given this talk.

1) Was it too technical or not technical enough?

2) Did I convince you that the realtime web matters? If not, why not? If so, what convinced you?

3) Was the examples section any use at all or did I fly over the examples too quickly?

4) Any other thoughts very much appreciated.
