In this session I discussed software development as a practice, and presented what I believe are the 8 essential elements of a framework for effectively planning, thinking about, talking about, writing about, developing and testing software. Additionally as part of this talk I gave an overview of my education iPhone and iPad apps for kids, and the path that led me from software development consulting, to building my own apps, and most recently back to consulting.
