It’s amazing what you can stuff in a burger. Since December 2010, the jQuery UI team was busy stuffing not a burger, but a hot grid component, filled with a bunch of components that are also tasty on their own. In this talk we’ll take a look at these new components and how they can be useful by themselves. We’ll also look at various ways to compose them into interesting applications, covering a Flickr-powered photo viewer with preloading, a Netflix-powered movie search and a custom spreadsheet implementation.

Th Grid is going to be very cool and I was glad to hear about it and see roughly what it can do. But it is not ready and neither was this presentation. The code examples were almost unreadable.

Think of an engaging, interesting and enlightening talk. Now imagine the opposite of that. Zaefferer is definitely knowledgable and witty, but damn was this presentation dry!
