About the Event
August 5, 2000
Established in 1939 by James Franklin Pugh, Pugh Heating & Air Conditioning started when James took a job at the Baker Furnace Company. James took an electrical engineering course at the University of Toledo and built the first spot welder for the Baker Company. Following in his father's footsteps in the 1960s, George Pugh learned the HVAC industry from the ground up. George served as president for 23 years before passing the torch to Mark Nowak in 1994.
