Our institutions often include numerous websites as well as countless stakeholders and responsible parties. Using the University of Arizona Libraries as a case study, we’ll discuss how to manage this overwhelming situation. With newly-appointed leadership by the Website Product Manager, we developed a method to manage our complex content in a way that is efficient, effective, and sustainable. We created editorial standards, developed a content lifecycle, established responsibilities for content providers, managers, and reviewers, and facilitated ongoing training. The outcome is more focused, credible, and consistent content across dozens of websites and thousands of web pages.
