Adjunct faculty need an easy to use document management tool to access, maintain, and update class material. Traditional methods using flash drives, CDs, or floppies(!) generate multiple versions. In the worst case, file corruption and data loss lead to additional problems and frustration. In those organizations using SharePoint, the SharePoint My Site functionality provides a password-protected, backed up document management system available anywhere with an internet connection. Adjunct faculty, frequently without an office, and moving between classes and campuses can take advantage of these features to more easily manage their instructional material.
