Finding ways to version control code is fairly easy; however, being able to do the same for database changes is a bit more complicated. Thankfully, .Net Migrations has provides a simple and powerful solution for managing database versions in a natural, SQL-oriented fashion. In this session, James will demonstrate what separates DotNet Migrations from other tools and strategies and how it can be used to migrate your database between versions. In addition to the basics, James will provide information on how to extend .Net Migrations' core functionality by write a few plug ins utilizing MEF and finally looking at ways to integrate it into your automated build process.
