What can you do to be successful in your career when it appears that many have the same skills that are viewed as operational and functional?
How do you stand out in a world where many people have similar credentials and experience?
The world of work is changing as fast as the technology driving it and to keep up we now have to develop a whole new approach to managing our businesses.
Personal branding allows us to differentiate ourselves by authentically aligning more with who we are with what we do, working on projects and seeking out opportunities that feel right because the objectives and goals are more in line with the direction we want to go.
It is also a revolution in career management, but it’s no longer just for career minded individuals. In today’s competitive marketplace, it’s a concept that it being embraced by forward-thinking companies (like Pepsi, Cap Gemini, Microsoft, Ogilvy, JP Morgan, and now one of the Big 4 Accounting firms) who understand that their human capital is their greatest asset.
Everyone needs to be performing at the top of their game. Personal branding gives them the tools to do that by helping them unearth their unique value and develop a plan to maximize that value in all that they do. Personal branding is all about uncovering and leveraging strengths, enabling you to contribute at a level few imagine, much less attain.
