When you bring several teams together through hiring, mergers, or partnerships, it's easy to stay polite. But this can kill true collaboration and limit the extent to which you can do epic work. In this session we'll walk through the challenges and lessons learned from working on projects while running several teams across the globe. We'll talk about the tools we used, and how we settled on using them. Chris and Karim will tell stories from the trenches and present key lessons about bringing disparate teams together. Key takeaways will include:
- Politeness, done wrong, can kill.
- Conflict, done right, can be powerful.
- Not all decisions can be consensus.
- Not all decisions can be dictatorial.
