Exiting is the most difficult area for entrepreneurs and CEOs to learn. There are two reasons why: They don’t happen very often, and when they do, almost every detail is covered by nondisclosure agreements. Even when you hear that an exit has occurred, it’s extremely unusual to find out the price the company sold for, or obtain enough of the financial history to put the valuation in perspective. This breakout is a unique opportunity to learn about, and discuss, real exit case studies. You’ll hear the real war stories about what it took to get these transactions done. Most interestingly, you’ll learn how these companies were valued by the acquirers and what factors increased the valuation through the exit process. By the end of this breakout, you’ll have the basic skills necessary to value most companies in the context of an exit transaction.
