IPv6 is not your father's Internet Protocol (that's IPv4!). It has similarities, and it has differences -- and you need to learn about it now, before you have to implement it. Because IPv6 is not a technology you can simply read about and then put into practice. You really need to dig in and get your hands dirty.

In this hands-on session, IPv6 guru Jeff Carrell will cover the basics you need to start working with IPv6. He'll demonstrate by building a lab platform including a full IPv4 and IPv6 router, and discuss how to obtain a low-cost IPv6 tunnel account with a dedicated address block capable of 256 unique IPv6 networks -- via an IPv4-only connection. Follow along and learn to build your own IPv6 lab with a minimum investment.
