Today, the pioneers in networking and data center infrastructure are unarguably Google, Facebook, and other companies that are developing their own technology to perform at "hyperscale." Common sense and many industry pundits are urging that enterprises adapt this technology to their own environments to enjoy the same success. But the typical enterprise operates with a far different user base, application set, and workload than Google. What, if anything, can we learn from the webscale giants?
