Despite the knowledge that patients from specific minority groups tend to have poorer experiences and outcomes in cancer services, Macmillan lacked the evidence and insights to address their needs. A ground-breaking project enabled 90 cancer patients to discuss their experiences, either privately or with other cancer patients and 30 experts. Find out how the insights generated provided Macmillan with the evidence they needed to influence key decision makers and enabled them to improve their own internal services – as well as how the project tuned out to be hugely beneficial for the participants themselves.
