About the Talk

Boulder, CO

Following on from the global success of the UX Book Club -- now operating globally in over 80 locations -- this session mimics the discussion format in use by many of the regional groups. Attendees are asked to read Adam Greenfield's "Everyware: The Dawning Age of Ubiquitous Computing" and Bruce Sterling's "Shaping Things" and will engage in a discussion around "Interaction design for ambient technology." The focus of the session will be on engaging in a peer-to-peer discussion of the topic in an unmoderated form -- as has proven popular with UX Book Club attendees around the world. Session coordinators (to be announced) will roam the room, assisting with the discussion and providing input as necessary. The session will close with a short wrap-up of major themes explored from around the room.
