The stories from a June 2010 user research trip to Rwanda revolve around five themes. Each story has its own lesson for user experience research:

New culture — Remember your audience

No scheduling — Learn from everything you can

No recruiting — Know your participant criteria

No lab — Nta kibazo

No script — Focus on qualitative data

This presentation, in the spirit of the unconference, is told without slides and with audience participation. And there's plenty of time at the end for questions and discussion.
