We named our research study about Web 2.0 adoption in the enterprise "Open Enterprise 2009" because we believe that openness is the core principle that drives the greatest benefits from Web 2.0. We have found a number of barriers to enterprise application of Web 2.0 technology and practices, and they are mostly cultural, or perhaps political. I will explore some of the issues that block the 'share economy' from taking root in the enterprise, today, and what we can expect in the near and distant future.
