Your unit tests should test just that, units. Often unit tests can get complicated and start testing multiple parts of a system. Even worse they start to depend on external systems like database engines. How do you effectively manage those dependencies? One way is to use a mock framework like RhinoMocks. In this session you will learn why you should us a mock framework, how to structure your application to take advantage of a mock framework, the basics of RhinoMocks syntax and plenty of code examples of using RhinoMocks in unit tests. No knowledge of RhinoMocks will be assumed, but basic working knowledge of unit testing frameworks will be.
