Experts map the world, users mark the points of interest, and you build it. Your organization is full of subject matter experts. How can you take their knowledge and turn it into a digital content framework so you can restructure, reuse, and remix content, making it easier for people and computers to find, explore, and share in any interface and on any device?

In this workshop, design and development meet information architecture and content strategy. Go beyond modeling and dig into your content management system to bring fascinating journeys to life. You’ll create a model, atomize content, and draft a plan to take it to the CMS. Using the examples from all types of organizations and domains, you’ll get tools and secrets to take home.

One half-day workshop is included with your ticket, but seating is limited and pre-registration is required. Check your conference materials to see which workshop you chose.

What you’ll do: •Practice extracting concepts and relationships about a subject domain from experts •Construct a domain model from the information captured in the previous exercise •Turn the domain model into a (partial) content model •Walk through the decision-making process for field selection extracted from elements of the content model
