Getting strategic design practices like information architecture adopted in your organization is no easy task. You’ll have to demonstrate its value to key sponsors and gain advocates on your teams.
Well-mannered information architects can be found hidden away in a room constructing vocabularies, making up content models and doing whatever user analysis that gets assigned to them. This workshop is not for well-mannered information architects. It’s for the information architect who wants to get out and into the organization; to engage “upstream” with sponsors and stakeholders and fellow “downstream” contributors like designers and programmers.
