Until now Web 2.0 has successfully sprinkled our favourite websites with a decent amount of Ajax Goodness. These sites are still just that though, websites mostly reliant upon the traditional HTTP request-response cycle, but where an increasing number of requests are now XHR. On the other hand the need for Internet applications that have a desktop-like feel have started to become a customer requirement. For this to be a reality, powerful frameworks to power the development of these Internet applications are necessary.
Enter SproutCore and Cappuccino, two frameworks with a promise to change the way we design, build and deploy Internet applications. This talk will go through the benefits of putting the business logic where it belongs - in the client - in contrast to the more traditional rich web-frameworks like JavaServer Faces, Wicket or even JQuery.
